Andreea Mincic (she/her) is a New York City–based set and costume designer whose work operates at the crossroads of performance, visual art, and experimental theater. She has spent much of her career creating work that spans scenic and costume design, props, masks, puppets, wigs, and sculptural objects. Her work has been seen at venues including BAM, The Public Theater, Playwrights Horizons, New York Theatre Workshop, St. Ann's Warehouse, The Kitchen, MoMA PS1, the Whitney Museum of American Art, Abrons Arts Center, Soho Rep, La MaMa, JACK, The Bushwick Starr, the Skirball Center, and other theaters, galleries, and performance spaces. She comes to Reed from Pace University, where she taught and mentored graduate students in the Actors Studio Drama School. She has also taught and designed at Harvard University, New York University, Northeastern University, the University of Pennsylvania, and CUNY LaGuardia Community College. Her teaching encourages students to approach design as both a collaborative practice and a mode of critical inquiry, grounded equally in imagination and craft.
