Word Lottery is a time-honored Reed tradition to sneak a weird word into your thesis. If you want to participate, you will submit a word and get a random word in return. Then you've gotta figure out how to fit it into your thesis. 

Rules:

1. To participate you must be in the process of writing your thesis.

2. Your assigned word must be included in the regular body of your thesis (no cheating and putting it in the acknowledgements). 

3. Submit words via the google form by November 20th. In order to receive a word back, you must include your email, but it won’t be associated with your word.

4. Words must be appropriate for a thesis. (i.e., no swear words; don’t be a jerk)

5. Words will be randomly assigned and emailed to you on November 25th.

6. You get one throw back. If you really think it will be impossible to use the word in your thesis, you will have one week to request a new word.

7. You may submit up to three words, but you must use as many words as you submit, and you still only get the one throw back.
